These methods help extend the shelf life by minimizing exposure to contaminants and oxidation. At the same time, these ingredients have benefits in overall skin health - so it's win-win!

Typically, our products remain effective for 18 to 24 months from the batching date, regardless of whether they've been opened. However, factors like exposure to air, light, and heat can influence longevity. To maximize shelf life, store products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and ensure containers are tightly sealed after each use.

The majority of our products are vegan, formulated without animal-derived ingredients. The exception is those containing beeswax. We are committed to transparency and ethical sourcing, ensuring that all ingredients align with our brand values.

However, every individual and pregnancy is unique. We recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before introducing any new skincare products, especially during pregnancy, to ensure they align with your personal health needs.

Our products come in 1 oz, 2 oz, and 4 oz sizes. The duration each product lasts depends on its size and your daily usage habits.

• 1 oz (30 ml): Typically lasts 30 to 45 days with daily use. 
• 2 oz (60 ml): Generally lasts 60 to 90 days with daily use. 
• 4 oz (120 ml): Usually lasts 120 to 180 days with daily use.
   

These estimates are based on standard application amounts. Individual usage may vary depending on factors such as the specific product, application method, and personal preferences.

To maximize the longevity of your products, we recommend using the appropriate amount for each application and storing them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

At Basic Naturals, we prioritize the use of natural preservatives to maintain the integrity and safety of our skincare products. Our formulations are crafted without synthetic chemicals, ensuring a pure and gentle experience for your skin.

For our water-free (anhydrous) products, such as oils and balms, preservatives are typically not necessary due to the absence of water, which reduces the risk of microbial growth. However, for products containing water or herbal infusions like green tea,  or those that may be exposed to moisture during use, we incorporate natural preservatives to prevent contamination and extend shelf life. These natural preservative methods include either air-tight packaging or skin benefitting and formula preserving ingredients like: citric acid, essential oils, apple cider vinegar, and baking soda. 

We are committed to transparency and the highest standards of safety. If you have specific concerns or sensitivities, please consult our customer care team for detailed information about our ingredients and preservation methods.

We currently do not offer products with added SPF (sun protection factor). However, many of our formulations include natural ingredients known for their mild sun-protective properties, which can complement your sun care routine.

For instance, carrot seed oil is often cited for its potential to absorb UVB radiation. Sweet almond oil contains antioxidants and fatty acids that may help protect the skin from UV damage. Mango butter is rich in vitamins and fatty acids, contributing to skin nourishment and protection.

While these ingredients offer some natural protection, it's important to note that they do not replace broad-spectrum sunscreen. The American Academy of Dermatology recommends using sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30 for effective protection.

We prioritize using 100% natural ingredients in our formulations. While we strive to source organic materials whenever possible, we do not currently hold USDA Organic certification. This is because certain natural ingredients, such as those derived through fermentation or biotechnology processes, are not eligible for organic certification under USDA standards.

Our formulations prioritize natural, skin-friendly components such as sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, and castor oil, which are known for their low comedogenic ratings.

4. Cleansing Mask  Spot Treatment (Once a Week)

Yes, our products are suitable for acne-prone skin. We have a range of products that help to reduce inflammation, control oil production, and prevent breakouts.

Yes, our products are suitable for sensitive skin. All of our products are alcohol-free, naturally preserved, and fragrance free.
